Private Space Companies?

The trick to reading such books as Dan Brown's (a mediocre writer at best) is to realize which true facts are Incorporated into them and which are just figments of imagination. Other than on safety grounds (do not launch rockets in the middle of Manhattan), the government has no interest in restrictions on activities of private companies like Bert Rutan's or Richard Branson's. It's just something else that can be taxed!
