Does the swine flu jab stop you from getting it or does it give you a mild form?

Hey, i had the jab in November i think, iv got asthma. i think iv got swine flu, earlier i thought i had tonsilitus again as i had it a month ago but this doesnt feel like tonsilitus. I have a slight temperature, fever, chills, sore throat, severe dizzyness to the point i cant stand up, chesty cough and tight chest, i slight runny nose and really sore eyes/head. the news goes on about having the jab but can you still get swine flu? also i have a 1year old son, if iv got it what are the chances of him getting it? hes not had the jab. i feel so rotten, if this is mild im worried about the full force of it.
